Cuvée 50% Melon à Queue Rouge (an old grape variety close to Chardonnay) and 50% Savagnin, from old vines grown organically and planted in 1973 and 1977. Manual harvest and natural vinification, after direct pressing, this non-oxidative cuvée (made using ouillage or ‘topping up’ of the barrels) was matured in demi-muid barrels and amphorae for four years, on the lees, in a humid cellar.

Jean François Ganevat
Jean-François Ganevat represents the 14th generation of vignerons of his family in Rotalier, in the south of Jura. After years working as the cellar master of Jean-Marc Morey in Chassagne-Montrachet, he took over his family’s estate in 1998.
