Côte Rôtie Colline de Couzou - 2023 - Domaine Bonnefond

Christophe & Léa Bonnefond

A more immediate and accessible Côte-Rôtie from Bonnefond, with the same aromatic complexity: blueberry, peony, black olive, undergrowth, vanilla... The palate is in harmony with the nose, with concentrated aromatics, perfectly balanced by silky tannins. Delicious.

Made from 100% Syrah grapes grown on old vines planted in granite and schist soils, this wine is a blend of grapes from hillside plots covering a total of 6 hectares. The grapes are harvested by hand. In the cellar, half of the harvest is vinified as whole bunches. Maceration lasts 25 days in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats (28 to 32°C), punched down twice daily and pumped over several times. After pressing, the wine is aged for 15 months in barrels, 10% of which is new oak. Bottled at the estate.
