Côte Rôtie Les Rochins - 2023 - Domaine Bonnefond

Christophe & Léa Bonnefond

100% Syrah from old vines planted on a one-hectare plot on the slopes of Rochins, which shows schist and iron oxide soils. The grapes were harvested by hand. Vinification: half destemmed and half whole bunches, maceration lasts 25 days in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats (28 to 32°C), punched down twice daily and pumped over several times. After pressing, the wine is aged for 20 months in barrels, 30% of which are new. Bottled at the estate.
