Blend of 97% Syrah and 3% Viognier from vines aged 20 to 40 years, planted between 150 and 320 metres altitude on slopes ranging from 10 to 60%, South / South-East facing. 72% from Côte Brune on mica-schist soils, and 27% from Côte Blonde on granite and gneiss soils. Blend of 11 lieux-dits. Hand-harvested between September 28th and October 11th, 2016. Vinification with 28% whole bunches, indigenous yeasts, followed by 20 months of ageing in 228-litre barrels, then 10 years of bottle ageing in the Domaine’s cellars.
