Very elegant nose of peony, blackcurrant and blackberry. A lacy mouthfeel, a cuvée driven by a diptych of purity and minerality, with phenomenal length.
RL are the initials of Rafael, Julie and Gérald's eldest son, already a fan of Cinsault at the age of six years old, when he tastes it in the vineyard with his parents! 99% Cinsault and 1% Grenache from 60-year-old vines grown organically and planted on pebble and sand soils. Harvested by hand. Vinification: maceration of the finest whole bunches in open 500-liter demi-muids, gentle pressing, aged in these same casks for a year. Bottled at the Estate in October 2022, without fining or filtration, just a bit of sulphur.
