100% Grenache Noir from vines grown organically and planted on schist soils, on a steep slope, terraced parcel in Banyuls. Mechanization isn’t possible for year-round vineyard work, everything is done by hand, just like the harvest. Natural vinification: total destemming, start of fermentation in wooden vats, mutage according to the traditional vinification of Banyuls, aging in barrels that have seen several wines. Bottled at the Estate in May 2021 without fining or filtration, without added sulphites.
Bruno Duchêne, yet another kid from the northern France who headed south for the sunshine of Roussillon. Settling here in 2002 in a middle of a vineyard of vines that were clearly exceptional, but also impossible to work – at least with tractor.
