The visual aspect of these bottles has created controversy in quite a number of countries, enough to suggest Jura’s most emblematic winegrower enjoys playing with the law. This cuvée is made from old Gamay, and old Jura grape varieties. Vinification: low temperature semi-carbonic maceration with indigenous yeasts, followed by one year of maturation in truncated conical vats – all without filtration or added sulphur.

Jean-François Ganevat represents the 14th generation of vignerons of his family in Rotalier, in the south of Jura. After years working as the cellar master of Jean-Marc Morey in Chassagne-Montrachet, he took over his family’s estate in 1998.
