This cuvée is the result of grapes bought from friends who share the same natural approach to winemaking, in this case a blend of Gamay, and red grape varieties traditional from the Jura, harvested by hand and vinified naturally. Semi-carbonic maceration at low temperature and 10 months ageing in truncated cone barrels, without new oak. Unfined, unfiltered, no sulphur added. The visual aspect of these bottles has created controversy in quite a number of countries, enough to suggest the emblematic winegrower enjoys playing with the law.

Jean-François Ganevat represents the 14th generation of vignerons of his family in Rotalier, in the south of Jura. After years working as the cellar master of Jean-Marc Morey in Chassagne-Montrachet, he took over his family’s estate in 1998.
