Once again at Ogier, superb value for pleasure. Here we have a Syrah that’s both spicy and deeply marked by black fruits. The palate is velvety, built on fine, powdery tannins, finishing with a hint of violet.

Blend of 98% Syrah and 2% Viognier, from 20- to 30-year-old vines planted on the edge of the appellation, hence labeled "Vin de France", on granite hillsides, with a planting density of 9,000 to 10,000 vines/ha. Hand-harvested, sorted in the vineyard and on the sorting table. Vinification: indigenous yeasts, 80% destemming, 3 weeks of maceration in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, pressing, 12 months of aging in 228-liter oak barrels, without new oak.
