Rhône Valley
A classic Côtes du Rhône that never disappoints, excellent value for pleasure. Fruity nose with redcurrant, blackberry, and blueberry pie… The palate is silky, structured, and refined, beautifully built around fruit and spice.
A blended cuvée of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah, from 30- to 50-year-old vines planted on limestone pebbles over blue clay. The parcels are located at the lieu-dit Plan de Dieu in the commune of Violès. Manual harvest, sorted both in the vineyard and on the table. Vinification: whole-cluster maceration in temperature-controlled concrete tanks, indigenous yeasts, pressing, 10 months of aging in concrete tanks.
Stéphane Ogier represents the seventh generation of a long line of Rhône vignerons.
