This cuvée is sold in the Crazy Wine Box - Jardins de la Martinière
A hypnotic wine, we embark on a real journey that we didn't expect with Chenin: first the oxidative patina, then ripe fruit and spices... Concentrated, energetic palate, mineral, ample, highly complex, crazy aromatic length. A unique tasting experience.

100% Chenin from vines averaging 20 years old, grown organically on southeast-facing clay-limestone soils. Hand-harvested in two passes to harvest grapes at optimum ripeness, direct pressing and direct barreling of the juices without settling for fermentation and ageing in barrels that have seen several wines, for three years, on total lees. Blending of the barrels in vats for a further year of ageing. Bottled in September 2023 without fining or filtration, with no added sulfites.
Kaya Tsutsui
Kaya Tsutsui, a passionate thirty-something, now runs winemaking at Les Jardins de la Martinière. Until 2018, it was Xavier Caillard, icon of Les Jardins d’Esmeralda, at the helm. Since the Japanese family company Nichifutsu Shoji – specialists in French wine imports and the very folks who brought the baguette to Japan – took over, the first vintage of this new era has already made waves....
