Vin Jaune 9 Ans édition 2024 - Whisky Single Malt - Michel Couvreur

Light golden color, slightly cloudy due to the absence of filtration. Elegant freshness with notes of frangipane and almond, underscored by an herbaceous intensity typical of young grain spirits. Very floral bouquet of veil wine, supported by a very delicate woody structure. Intense, spicy and warm on the palate, with concentrated Savagnin flavors.

Whisky Vin Jaune is a single malt distilled on February 1, 2015 in Scotland and bottled on February 15, 2024, aged in Vin Jaune barrels from the Jura region for 9 years, limited edition of 2,500 bottles. These barrels come from the Domaine de Bénédicte et Stéphane Tissot and are intensely impregnated. Having undergone several Vin Jaune maturations (6 years and 3 months mandatory for the Vin Jaune appellation), they are delivered unrinsed, still fresh from the wine - the lees and veil still present. Matured in the very humid parts of the cellar, a slight reduction is necessary to obtain 48% alcohol by volume. 500 ml bottle.
