Emmanuel Rostaing-Tayard

Emmanuel Rostaing-Tayard, child of the ’87 vintage and son of farmers, has settled in his native village of Savigny in the Coteaux du Lyonnais, this is the beautiful story of the local boy returning to the land. After a career in Paris, far from the vineyards, the death of his grandparents in 2017 encouraged him to get closer to his family roots, and he embarked on a new journey through the Beaune viticulture and oenology diploma. After a stay in New Zealand, where he vinified 10 hectares of Pinot Noir biodynamically, he worked with Frédéric Lafarge (Michel Lafarge estate) in Volnay and Michel Guignier in Vauxrenard, two biodynamists who inspired him greatly. He then took over small vineyard plots and lands with his sister Claire, who cultivates aromatic and medicinal plants. Today, Emmanuel is at the head of 10 hectares, which he tends with local plants from the same terroir. A magnificent ecosystem that offers us bright, sincere and hearty wines.
