Yves Canarelli took over his grandfather’s vines in 1993. In 20 years, he has shifted his viticulture over to biodynamics, and reintroduced ancient grape varietals like Cargaghjolu Nero, which nearly went extinct in the 1960s. He also transformed his domain into an ultra-modern estate, to fully benefit from one of the highest rates of sunshine in France. Yves has tested everything: from his viticulture (cultivating a parcel of pre-phylloxera vines, replanting forgotten grape varieties of Figari), to his vinifications (using indigenous yeasts, creating a micro-cuvée using amphorae), maturing wines on their lees, etc.... Here, everything is the subject of constant research. Yves is considered the most talented Corsican vigneron of his generation. The quality of his wines alone has propelled the Figari AOC back to prominence. And his cuvée Carcaghjolu Neru is simply one of the most beautiful cuvées made on the entire Isle of Beauty.
Sulphites-free wine
Bronze color... The nose is intense, with notes of flowers and white fruits. Palate: rich wine, nice structure, with a strong personality, lots of length and freshness. The amphora is a perfect mastery among the Canarelli!
Organic or biodynamic wine
Nose: citrus, white fruits, apricot, melon. Vintage after vintage, it just gets more incredible... The palate is pure, tense, and mineral, yet with lovely volume and a coating texture, fine bitter notes from the Vermentino, and a long, saline finish.
Sulphites-free wine
A rich, intense nose with notes of ripe fruit and spices. The palate has great volume, finesse and freshness – a pure and balanced wine. The amphora, this ancient vessel of winemaking, has been mastered to perfection by Canarelli.
Organic or biodynamic wine
A very rich, effusive nose. On the palate: incredible finesse, perfectly balanced! Not a trace of heaviness, yet tons of freshness and purity. A splendid cuvée which has captured our hearts once again! A wine to be discovered without delay!

An almost forgotten grape variety, this stunning cuvée is refreshing, elegant and very fine, with excellent length. The aromatics is lively, carried by notes of white-fleshed fruit and citrus, with a mineral and saline backbone.
