Fabien Jouves represents the golden generation of Cahors. This young and dynamic vigneron settled in 2006 on the highest slopes of Cahors, where he took over his family’s estate of 20 hectares. Fabien, with his Prince Harry-like air about him, is the pretender to the throne in the Realm of Malbec! His estate is certified organic by Ecocert and biodynamic by Demeter and Biodyvin. His vinifications are carried out without oenological tricks or additives, and the wines are neither fined nor filtered. Fabien is in the process of earning himself a sterling reputation for his single-vineyard Cahors cuvées, which highlight his sensitivity and respect for each climat and terroir, but he has also become loved for his easy-drinking, thirst-quenching cuvées with such whimsical names as "You Fuck My Wine", "Tu Vin Plus Aux Soirées", "Omar M'a Abuser", etc... labels which have certainly helped generate buzz. But if some of his labels are laughable, his wines are very serious indeed.
One of Fabien’s mid-range cuvées, and perhaps his best compromise between fruit and structure... A nose of black fruits, spices, and liquorice... Palate: seriously rich and tannic, yet with great freshness on the finish!
To be shared between friends, an accessible, supple, fruity wine. A bit of spice and a lot of freshness on the palate. TVPAS: a go-to classic for thirsty oenophiles!
Dark, intense robe, a nose with notes of raspberry, violet, and spices... A palate of great freshness, with flavours of intense red fruits and a supple texture... Yet another superb bottle to share among friends.
