A fresh, spledid nose with notes of red fruits, spice, hints of undergrowth… A fluid palate, with present yet silky tannins, great length, and a finish with a mineral edge. Stunning. Astonishing. We’ll have to wait a few years before this cuvée reaches its peak.

100% Pinot Noir, a cuvée made from purchased Grand Cru grapes, mid-slope on the Corton hillside, on clay-limestone soils. The grapes were harvested by hand. Whole-cluster vinification in wooden vats, with gentle cap wetting using a watering can (no pumping), and daily foot pigeage, without temperature control. Pressed, then aged in multi-use barrels on fine lees, barrels blended before further ageing in stainless steel tanks, for a total of 30 months. Unfined, unfiltered, just a micro-dose of sulphur.

Tomoko is originally from Japan, and was exposed to wines from a very young age, having her father passionate by great Burgundy...
