Champagne
A beautiful expression of the varietal in this Blanc de Noirs, with a nose of crisp apple and citrus, marked by great minerality. “An identity-driven Champagne, it offers lovely texture and sapidity,” say Sylvère and Cédric.
100% Pinot Noir from vines planted in Ville-sur-Arce in the Côte des Bar, on clay-rich Kimmeridgian limestone soils. Manual harvest, fractioned pressing, cold settling, slow fermentation in tanks, full malolactic fermentation, and aging on fine lees for 8 months. Bottled in May 2021 for over three years of aging on laths. Disgorged on July 15, 2024. A vintage cuvée, 100% from the 2020 harvest, extra-brut with a dosage of 3.4 grams per litre.
Sylvère and Cédric — father and son — are the duo behind Champagne Rémy Massin & Fils, based in Ville-sur-Arce, right in the heart of the Côte des Bar. Carrying forward a family tradition that began with Louis-Aristide Massin in 1865, it was Rémy Massin who, more than a century later in 1974, founded the estate as we know it today, by vinifying the family's own harvest.
