Fruity and spicy nose, with a dense, supple, and smooth palate, and a long, mineral finish. Hemera is the goddess of daylight in Greek mythology; without the H it also means “broom” in Corsican, a plant characteristic of the maquis that surrounds the vineyard. We love this one!!
Ingredients and nutrition facts
100% Sciaccarello from organically and biodynamically farmed vineyards, planted on soils of blue schist and rounded pebbles at an elevation of 290 meters, facing East. The grapes were harvested by hand, with yields of around 30 hl/ha. Vinification: full destemming, fermentation in large oak casks, gentle pressing, 16 months of aging in these same casks, without new oak. Bottled at the estate without fining or filtration, total sulfites around 60 mg/liter.
