Saint Pancrace - 2023 - Marie Charlotte Pinelli
Domaine Pinelli
First nose hits with jammy vibes and a touch of copper... like a strawberry preserve that got a good simmer in the copper pot! Gariguette strawberry, smoky hints, wild complexity. On the palate: silky flow, total crush during tasting. Long finish, all about freshness.

90% Sciaccarello and 10% Nielluccio (labeled as "Niella"—another name for the grape), from organic vines planted in 2019 on granitic soils in the dry, windswept Agriates Desert. Separate vinification: Sciaccarello is destemmed and macerated for three weeks in concrete; Nielluccio is destemmed and macerated for over a month in stainless steel. Aged 12 months in large foudres used only for the estate’s wines. Blended by taste to find perfect balance before bottling. Sulfited at harvest and post-fermentation if needed, total SO2 around 50 mg/l.

Back in Patrimonio in July 2015, her father François had just received, as an inheritance from a cousin, a small parcel of Muscat—Marie-Charlotte thought, why not! That moment marked the beginning of the Pinelli family...
