Les Châtaigniers - 2020 - Hervé Villemade
Nose carried by notes of white flowers, lemon, apricot, pear jam, honey... Tight and mineral palate, fine acidity. Beautiful interpretation of the grape variety, Hervé told us that the wine must not remain open too long, this is a bottle for sharing with your friends!

100% Romorantin from young vines grown organically and planted on sand, clay and silex soils from Sologne. Manual harvest, sorting of the grapes in the vineyard. Natural vinification, direct pressing, aging in casks that have seen several wines and Diamond shaped concrete vats, for 19 months. Bottled at the Estate in March 2022 without fining or filtration, just a micro dose of sulfites.
Hervé Villemade is a natural winemaker situated within the Cheverny appellation. Less of a media darling than his famous neighbour Thierry Puzelat , Hervé and his 25-hectare estate nonetheless have nothing to be shy about. You might say there’s a gentle and productive form of competition between them, a source of motivation perhaps... When the family estate was handed over to him in 1995,...All wines
