A blended cuvée of 50% Gamay on flinty and clay soils in Montlouis-sur-Loire, and 50% Grolleau on siliceous, flint and pebble soils in Azay-le-Rideau. The vines are grown organically and harvested by hand. Natural vinification: direct pressing of both grape varieties, aged for 7 months in stainless steel and concrete vats. Bottled in March 2023 without fining or filtration, just a micro-dose of sulfur.
Frantz Saumon
Frantz Saumon is one of those winemakers who are already well established on their terroir, but who actually arrived in the wine world by chance... Originally from Berry, this former forester who worked in Canada gave up everything to devote himself to his passion. This is the 90's... what a long way we have come! At this time, Frantz follows the very famous oenological formation of Amboise....
