La Pointue - 2022 - Nicolas Renaud
Clos des Grillons

La Pointue is a 35-acre plot planted with nine red and white grape varieties, including 100+year-old Grenache Noir (80% of the vines). An added two rows of Cinsault complete this blend. The grapes were harvested by hand when over-ripe (with a 15.5% as a result!). Vinified naturally and without additives: all the grape varieties are co-macerated as whole bunches, spending 10 days in vats with cap punch downs for gentle extraction. Matured six months in stainless steel vats. Neither fined nor filtered, and bottled in Spring 2023.
