A nose with notes of tart red berries and soft spices... With its crisp and fluid palate, this is a very pleasurable juice. The name vilain may mean ‘naughty’, but enjoyment like this should be guilt free!
100% Syrah from Matthieu's négociant business. The vines belong to Emmanuel Tracol (in Roussas) and Florent Bacconnier (in Eclassan), two vignerons in their first year of operation and in conversion to organic farming. In Roussas, the vines are 20 years old, on sandy soil. At Eclassan, 400 metres above sea level, the 35-year-old vines are planted on granitic sands. Vinification: fully destemmed, two weeks of maceration at low temperatures, nine months of maturation in fiber and concrete vats. Bottled with just 2gr/hl of sulphur.
