Tattouine Rouge - 2024 - SCEA Domaine Matassa
Tom Lubbe
The name of this cuvée was inspired by the planet of Luke Skywalker! A very light red, with notes of crushed redcurrant, and flowers... A precise palate, smooth, with fruit flavours that almost evoke a fine Pinot Noir... An engaging aromatic palette, with silky tannins.

Blending of old vines of Grenache Gris, Grenache Noir, Grenache Blanc and Macabeu, from vines grown organically, planted on red clay soils surrounded by garrigue, pruned with the traditional gobelet technique. We're in the spirit of a "blouge" = blanc (white) + rouge (red). Short co-maceration of the whole clusters for 5 days, in concrete tanks. Pressing followed by 6 months of aging on the lees in Austrian 2500-litre casks, without new oak. Bottled at the winery without fining or filtration and without the addition of sulfites.
