Nose carried by notes of white fruits and citrus. Tense and mineral palate, it is an easy-drinking yet rich wine.
Grégoire Perron
Grégoire Perron, a young and discreet winemaker, has been working since 2010 in Journans in the Ain region, on a two-hectare micro estate located in the heart of the Bugey region. After 15 years of experience in viticulture, Grégoire modestly took over vines with a heavy chemical past, but having known ploughing a long time ago. Then he began the conversion to organic and biodynamic viticulture : the plots are grassed, worked and harvested by hand. The grass is mowed from spring to harvest, then the Thones sheep (Martod and Soay) take over to maintain the rows and naturally fertilize the vines with their droppings. At the same time, he set up his négoce : Le Foudre d’Escampette, and bought different grape varieties in Burgundy and Savoy. The result is good but the production is only about 6000 bottles… Confidential cuvées that deserve to be in the spotlight !
A harmonious, balanced and structured wine. A beautiful cuvée, fruity and natural with notes of violet and raspberry. As the label suggests, you might just find yourself drinking it straight from the bottle!
Dazzling fruit with notes of raspberry, plum, violet note, peony, long pepper... Palate: a nice power that is still highly digestible, beautiful tannins, endless finish...
An unusual aromatic palette for this Gamay in amphorae with notes of black fruit jam, spices and candied orange. Fluid and digestible mouthfeel, thirst-quenching acidity, presence of gas at the opening, do not hesitate to decant and shake.
With notes of blackcurrant, figs, iris and black pepper... Deep and aromatic palate, firm tannins, good structure and acidity, all with the natural touch of Grégoire as a bonus!
A lively wine, with citrus and mineral notes. The palate is saline, mouth-watering, zesty, vibrant, and tense — it's rock'n'roll, and you might even find yourself dancing on the counter!
Generous, sunny juice, blackberry, red plum, aromatic herbs, hint of smoke... The palate offers a lovely southern volume, and retains the character of the estate: accessible, highly drinkable, without fuss but with great pleasure.
A pure Gamay, raw expression of the grape, with gentle extraction. Notes of sour cherry, cranberry, forest floor, a touch of cocoa, and a spicy finish. A red wine that walks off the beaten path — but right in line with Grégoire’s style.
Pure and natural juice with mineral and citrus notes. Energetic, lively and saline palate, nice acidity, it swings and doesn't half move! Thirst quenching as possible! "A neck-snapper of a wine" as Grégoire told us!
