Marsannay Blanc "Clos du Roy" - 2023 - Sylvain Pataille
Domaine Sylvain Pataille
A beautiful wine from a parcel on its way to Marsannay 1er Cru status. The nose is intensely mineral, warmed by notes of honey, candied white fruit, and a hint of vanilla. On the palate: great volume, with richness balanced by fine acidity. Decanting recommended.

100% Chardonnay from organically farmed vines, planted in the Clos du Roy parcel. East-facing, on grèzes litées soils—limestone gravel and sand layered in alternating coarse and fine beds. One month of blending in tanks, light filtration at the end. A micro-dose of sulfur at bottling.
