A blend of 40% Cabernet Franc, 40% Côt (the Loire name for Malbec) and 20% Pineau d’Aunis, from organically farmed vines planted on clay-limestone and flinty clay soils, notably around Chissay-en-Touraine. This cuvée comes from estate-grown grapes, complemented by 30% of purchased fruit. The grapes were harevsted by hand, low-temperature maceration in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts, pressed, then short ageing in stainless steel. Bottled in Spring 2024.

François Chidaine is one of the most talented winemakers of his generation, a true Chenin master to whom the Montlouis-sur-Loire appellation owes a great deal. Son of winemakers, he founded his domaine in 1989, bringing together scattered parcels over 4 hectares. Early on, Didier Dagueneau convinced him to work organically, then biodynamically: the vineyard became Demeter certified in 1999...
