Rhône Valley
Aux Bêtises - 2020 - David Reynaud
Domaine Les Bruyères
An opulent wine, very ripe, with notes of apricot, peach, and brioche... On the palate: lovely richness and body, this is superb. A wine unlike any other from this appellation.

A blended cuvée: 60% Marsanne and 40% Roussanne, certified organic and Biodynamic, grown on the terroir known as Beaumont Monteux, with a well-drained soil of clay-limestone and detrital pebbles. Yields 45 hl/ha. Vinification: grapes are 100% destemmed, gently direct pressed, the juices moved by gravity, fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured 2/3 in 16-hl egg-shaped cement vats and 1/3 in barrels that have seen 4 wines. Filtered and bottled in May 2021, with a pinch (2 g/hl) of sulphur.
