Catarina - 2020 - Bernard Duseigneur
Domaine Duseigneur
A complex nose with notes of blackberry, black cherry, dried flowers, garrigue, and sweet spices... An unctuous, generous palate, with great aromatic purity, and a long finish with a hint of morello cherry liqueur. Immense pleasure for the price! For maximum enjoyment, decanting is a must.

100% Grenache from vines around sixty years old, farmed biodynamically and planted at three different Châteauneuf-du-Pape vineyard sites (Colombis, Bois de la Ville and Grand Devès) on the appellation’s three terroirs: pebbles, sand, and limestone. Harvested by hand, with yields around 30 hl/ha. The three parcels are vinified separately, including five weeks of maceration in cement vats, and 12 months of maturation in demi-muid barrels that have seen several wines. Bottled at the estate without fining or filtration, and sparing use of sulphur.
