A blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah from 40-year-old vines farmed biodynamically on Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s classic stony terroir of large round pebbles over a subsoil of clay and sandstone. The pebbles act as a heat reservoir while the subsoil retains moisture. The two grape varieties are harvested by hand, destemmed, then vinified separately with indigenous yeasts, and matured for 12 months in oak casks of 50 hl, that have seen several wines. Bottled on the estate with a dose of sulphur, but without fining or filtration.

Bernard Duseigneur arrived 20 years ago at the eponymous estate founded by his father, a true wine enthusiast who had just returned from Portugal.
