Rhône Valley
A label illustrated by the great Michel Tolmer is always a foretaste of good things to come! A divine wine, with a nose of white flowers, orchard fruits... The palate is fresh, thirst quenching and smooth. Seigneur means “Lord”, and this is noble nectar indeed!
A blended cuvée: 1/3 Grenache Blanc, 1/3 Clairette and 1/3 Vermentino, from 30-year-old vines grown organically and planted on clay-limestone soils. Manual harvesting and controlled yields, around 30 hecto/ha. Vinification: direct pressing of the three grape varieties together, settling off the lees, nine months of aging in stainless steel vats. Bottled without fining or filtration, and just a small dose of sulphur to protect the wine.
Bernard Duseigneur arrived 20 years ago at the eponymous estate founded by his father, a true wine enthusiast who had just returned from Portugal. A beautiful family story that passes on from father to son, since Bernard initially worked with his brother, who eventually returned to his first passion: music, with his band Minha Terra (who happens to be a super nice cuvée at the Domaine!).
