60% Grenache and 40% Syrah, from 30-year-old vines farmed biodynamically in the Gard, in the village of Saint Victor Lacoste. The vines are planted in sandy-clay soils on the north face of the slope – the part most exposed to the wind. The plot is bordered by a dense swathe of forest that isolates it from the outside. Each grape variety is vinified separately, with partial de-stemming, maceration in cement vats, gentle pressing, maturation in vats and blending a few weeks before bottling. Neither fined nor filtered, and only a small dose of sulphur.

Bernard Duseigneur arrived 20 years ago at the eponymous estate founded by his father, a true wine enthusiast who had just returned from Portugal.
