Rhône Valley
A natural sparkling wine, fresh and joyful, with notes of pear, hazelnut, white flowers... Palate: lively and sapid bubble, long finish with a hint of candied lemon.
A blend of 90% Chardonnay and 10% Viognier, both grape varieties come from organically grown vines, planted on clay-limestone soils and manually harvested. Natural vinification and without inputs: direct pressing, start of fermentation in vats, bottled with residual sugars to create the effervescence in bottle. A bit more than one year of aging on laths, disgorged on the 23rd of November 2023. No fining, no filtration, no added sulfites.
Andréa Calek was trained by the Rohel brothers in the Rhône and by Dominique Hauvette in Baux de Provence. Our globetrotting Czech then laid down his hat in Alba-la-Romaine, 10 km East of Montélimar, in the heart of the Ardèche, where he created his own estate in 2007.
