100% Syrah. From the estate’s highest parcel, 70-year-old vines facing south, on a gentle slope with little to no soil, only decomposed granite. Vinification is traditional with whole cluster grapes, with a small portion crushed to help start the fermentations. Maceration for 15 days, without additives, with a little punching down of the cap, maturation in demi-muids and barrels that have seen several wines. Bottled without filtration or added sulphur, between August and October depending on the cuvée.
