A blend of 50% Roussanne and 50% Marsanne, from vines planted on granite soils and farmed biodynamically. The grapes were harvested by hand when fully ripe. Vinification: direct pressing, transfer into barrels that have seen several wines for fermentation and 12 months of maturation. The wine has completed its malolactic fermentation. Neither fined, nor filtered, with a total SO2 of just 30 mg per litre.
Jean Delobre of La Ferme des 7 Lunes, located between Valence and Vienne, took over the family business in 1984, following in the footsteps of his grandparents and parents. At the time, the estate was devoted to polyculture and vines were just one of their crops, farmed with chemical treatments while selling the grapes to the local cooperative.
