Rhône Valley
Vieilles Vignes - 2021 - Aurélien Houillon
Domaine Houillon
A nose of black fruits and spices, with floral notes. Palate: very beautiful structure, a mouth of ripe, velvety fruit, well-integrated notes of barrel maturation, and a long fruity finish.

A 100% Grenache cuvée, made from 70-year-old vines farmed organically and planted on slightly sandy, clayey-limestone soils, facing southwest. The grapes are handpicked and carefully sorted in the vineyard, very low yields of 19 hl/ha. Vinification: 100% destemmed, fourteen weeks of maceration in stainless steel vats, gentle pressing to preserve the fruit, 10 months of maturation in barrels that have seen several wines. Bottled without any additives, and above all no added sulphur!
