A wine of unique personality, with a nose of cherry, blackcurrant and redcurrant, plus lovely toasted notes. The palate is fluid, with tannins that accompany the fruit without getting in the way. A very lovey cuvée – a testament to what Bordeaux can be without all the sulphur!

A blend of Merlot and the ultra rare Castets grape, both from vines farmed organically and planted in 2001 on shallow clay-limestone soils. Antonin has been grafting his Castets onto Merlot vines since 2017. The grapes were harvested by hand, on the 7th and 14th of September. The two grape varieties were vinified separately, with a gentele amceration of the berries, then matured 12 months in barrels that have seen three wines, and blended in vats one month before bottling. Neither fined nor filtered, and no added sulphur.

It is the birth of his daughter that motivates him to come back to France in 2014. Antonin returns...
