100% Merlot from the most beautiful vines of the Domaine, grown organically and pruned in Cordon-style, planted on a small 0.5-hectare plot. Manual harvest on the 16th of September in small crates and low yields. Vinification: destemming, work by gravity, approximately one and a half months of maceration, soft pressing, 18 months of aging in barrels that have seen one to three wines. Bottled without fining or filtration, with zero added sulfites. A rare cuvée, produced only in 2016, 2020, and 2023, when the stars align.
Antonin Jamois, born in 1979 and originally from Paris, was in no way predestined to become a winegrower... After studying agronomy, he left for Argentina and Brazil, then settled for 10 years in Madagascar (hence the name of the Estate!) where he worked as an aquaculturist and as a scuba diver. It is the birth of his daughter that motivates him to come back to France in 2014. Antonin returns...
