Entre Deux Eaux - 2024 - L'île Rouge

Antonin Jamois

It's almost a clairet, but make no mistake, it's a real rosé! Expect pure indulgence and roundness from this super fruity wine, with notes of grenadine, strawberry, blackcurrant and dried fig. The palate is supple, enveloping and just plain delicious.

100% Merlot, from the very last grapes picked in the 2024 vintage, on September 28th. The whole bunches macerated in tank, then all the free-run juice was drawn off two days after the grapes went in. The juice was cold-settled, then sent straight to barrels that had already held several wines for fermentation and 6 months of ageing on fine lees, with regular barrel rolling. Bottled on May 14th, 2025, with no fining, no filtration and no added sulfites.

Antonin Jamois, born in 1979 and originally from Paris, was in no way predestined to become a winegrower... After studying agronomy, he left for Argentina and Brazil, then settled for 10 years in Madagascar (hence the name of the Estate!) where he worked as an aquaculturist and as a scuba diver. It is the birth of his daughter that motivates him to come back to France in 2014. Antonin returns...
