The visual aspect of these bottles has created controversy in quite a number of countries, enough to suggest that the Ganevat brother and sister enjoy playing with the law. This cuvée is made from old Gamay and old Jura grape varieties from the Ganevat property. Vinification: semi-carbonic maceration at cold temperature with indigenous yeasts, followed by 10 months of maturation in truncated conical vats (without new oak) – all without filtration or added sulphur.

Jean-François Ganevat represents the 14th generation of vignerons of his family in Rotalier, in the south of Jura. After years working as the cellar master of Jean-Marc Morey in Chassagne-Montrachet, he took over his family’s estate in 1998.
