Lapsus d'Or - 2023 - Frédéric Cossard

Frédéric Cossard

As you’d expect from this grape, it’s all finesse—bright red berries, floral lift, and a light, breezy frame. The palate is fresh, fluid, ultra-drinkable, almost weightless. A little bomb cooked up by Monsieur Fred – he was right to take a jaunt outside his dear Burgundy for once!

A single-varietal cuvée: 100% Ploussard (anagram of “Lapsus d’Or” for the attentive). A cuvée made from organically grown grapes bought to winemakers who share the same values, unfortunately we can't tell you where since it's a Vin de France but met's say we're in the typical region for this grape variety! Harvested by hand. Natural vinification at Laure and Fred Cossard’s cellar in Saint-Romain (Burgundy), with a gentle maceration and 12-month élevage in egg-shaped concrete vats. Unfined, unfiltered, no added sulphites.
