“Bedeau”, French for ‘beadle’ or ‘verger’, can be defined as a ceremonial officer who accompanied the priest. The vines are 40 years old, 80% from the commune of Volnay and the rest from Corpeau. Indeed, the cuvées Bedeau take its names from the first vines Fred acquired, situated in Corpeau behind the church there. This Pinot Noir is vinified with whole bunches, maceration 3 to 4 weeks, maturation 12 months in egg-shaped concrete vats. Neither fined nor filtered, zero sulphur added.
