Chardonnay - 2025 - Dantelezh

Marie Devigne & Guillaume Hagnier

Complex nose, very classy, fruity and chalky, indulgent but without any heaviness, perfectly balanced! The palate is sharp and mineral with a long, saline finish. A beautiful cuvée that whets the appetite, making us rediscover Chardonnay in a very airy, pure, and tense light.

100% Chardonnay from vines planted in Spring 2020, organically farmed from the start. The 2.60 ha single plot in Sarzeau (Southern Brittany) is East-West facing with silt and sandy soils. The grapes were harvested by hand between the 13th and the 20th of September 2025. Direct pressing in a pneumatic press. Vinification: fermented with neutral yeasts in stainless steel tanks, aged on lees in these same tanks for 7 months. Bottled in April 2026 without fining or filtration, sulfur added in order to protect the wine.

Grab your raincoats and the salted butter, we’re heading to Sarzeau, a small town between Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Morbihan, that used to produce wine until 1950! 70 years later, it’s back on: after working in Champagne estates, Marie and Guillaume planted 5 hectares...
