Loire Valley
Clos de Frémine - 2020 - Thibaud Boudignon
Domaine Thibaud Boudignon
Nose of a rare complexity, carried by notes white fruits, tangerine, a touch of bergamot... The palate is round, magnificent volume, finish on fine bitters and a citrusy freshness. Again with Boudignon, this is a favorite... Cellar it for a few years, you will be rewarded.

Chenin from vines farmed biodynamically on a 1.5-havineyard planted with six different varieties of massal selection grapes from the greatest estates of the Loire. Located in La Possonnière, just behind the Clos de la Hutte parcel, the vineyard is nurtured like a garden, the grapes harvested. Vinification: transfer into barrels for fermentation and maturation for 16 months in 500-liter and 600-litre oval demi-muids (with 20% new oak). Bottled around Christmas 2021.

Thibaud Boudignon

Formerly a high-level judoka, today in his thirties Boudignon brings the same precision and rigour to his work in wine. He boasts an impressive CV, having trained at some of the greatest estates of Bordeaux, the Loire and Burgundy, notably with Philippe Charlopin in Gevrey Chambertin. It was finally in 2008...
