100% Cabernet Franc from 60-year-old vines planted on a 1.2 ha plot surrounded by walls, built by the Du Bellay family, lords of Anjou, for the quality of its light, clay-siliceous soils. A vineyard bought by Pierre in 2005 and farmed organically ever since. Manual harvest, total destemming, sorting of the berries on a sorting table, approximately three weeks of maceration with pump-overs and punch-downs, three years of aging in casks and demi-muids barrels of two to three wines. Bottled at the Estate in August 2021 without fining or filtration.
