A legendary wine… the powerful nose boasts notes of exotic fruit, fresh mushrooms, beeswax, quince, and a hint of white flowers. On the palate, a few grams of residual sugar are perfectly integrated, and the result is a cuvée full of tension, volume and length.

100% Sauvignon, from the legendary La Grande Côte vineyard site, with limestone and marl soils. The grapes were hand-harvested well after those for the estate’s two classic cuvées, and thus were slightly overripe. Vinification: fermentation ends before the grapes’ sugars are gone, and that residual sugar adds those few extra caudalies which make this a wine of such persistent pleasure (to be clear, the wine is dry). Long maturation in demi-muid barrels. A rare cuvée, which will only unveil its full élan and complexity after aging in your cellar.

Pascal Cotat
Pascal Cotat is the major reference in the appellation, he works his vines on the steep slopes of Chavignol, 2.3 hectares which came to him after the family estate was split between he and his cousin (François).
