Sans Pagne - 2021 - Ludovic Chanson
Domaine Ludovic Chanson
Nose with notes of white fruits, in-your-face minerality, a floral touch. Palate: an elegant sparkling wine, with a slightly bitter finish, the name of this cuvée is obviously a reference to Champagne!

2021 is a blend considering the very low yields of this vintage: 60% of Menu Pineau from Loire-et-Cher, the grapes were bought to an organic viticulture, 20% Chardonnay and 20% Chenin from the Estate. Manual harvest, direct pressing, the malolactic fermentation is completed. Bottled with residual sugars for the refermentation, 14 months of aging on laths, disgorged in January 2023. A cuvée "sans pagne" (without loincloth), which means it is a naked wine! Just a little pinch of sulphur at bottling.
