Bataillon - 2024 - La Cordée Blanche
Ylan Mathieu & Cyril Andrez
This is the easy-drinking wine of the estate, very fruity, with notes of dried strawberry and redcurrant – a truly delightful Mondeuse! Ultra-smooth and fluid, with very little tannin and great purity. A beautiful expression of the grape variety: a free-spirited, flawless wine.

100% Mondeuse from vines farmed organically, planted on a plot at an altitude of 400 meters, with a very steep slope of up to 70%. South/southwest exposure. Clay-limestone, molassic sandstone, and glacial moraine soils. The grapes were harvested by hand on October 3, total destemming, 10 days of maceration with some pumping over. Pressing, blending of the free-run and press juices, transfer into oak barrels for 7 months of aging the on lees, without new oak. Bottled by gravity on April 23, 2025, with just 1 g/hl of SO2 added during winter.
