Pollux - 2024 - Les Arches de Bellivière

Clément & Laure-Anne Nicolas

A nose bursting with notes of black fruits, cherry, cinnamon, undergrowth... Supple on the palate, a digestible wine with a juicy and finely acidulous finish. Lively wine, shake it or decant it before serving if you're afraid of gas.

Blend of 80% Pineau d'Aunis and 20% Gamay from 20 to 40-year-old vines grown biodynamically and planted on flint clay soils on the Domaine de Bellivière, this is a blend of 9 plots (not from their negotiant business contrary to what the label could suggest). Manual harvest in small crates, from the 7th to the 17th of October 2024. Vinification: total destemming, alcoholic fermentation in vats with punching down, indigenous yeasts, aging in vats on fine lees for 12 months. Bottled in November 2025, light sulphur.
