Rhône Valley

Châteauneuf du Pape "Les Vieilles Vignes" - 2017 - Stan Wallut

Domaine de Villeneuve

A complexe and deep nose with notes of black fruits and spices, the palate is voluminous, voluptuous, and round, with crisp fruit. A long finish... Pure class. It is already drinkable in its youth but it will get more and more elegant if you can wait a few years!

Viticulture: hand tilling of soil, grass covers between rows to limit vine vigour, no chemicals. Vinification: use of gravity, simple and natural. The fermentations are done by individual grape variety, with cap-punching. 18 months of aging, 80% in vats on fine lees and 20% in barrels (1/3 new oak).
